Cutleaf Toothwort is a native plant found through much of Virginia. It is in the brassica family, which contains vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and kale. The genus Cardamine does not contain the spice "cardamom", which is popular in Indian cuisine — cardamom is in the ginger family.
